Heritage and Legacy of Foothill Aquatics
Tom DeLong – first coach and “father” of Foothill Water Polo. Started the program in 1967 and coached both men’s and women’s swimming. He was a leader in Aquatics during his time at Foothill. Coach Delong exemplifies the heart and soul of the program.
Dave Simcox – second coach at Foothill Water Polo. He was also swim coach at Foothill. Coach Simcox’s inspiration and enthusiasm has encouraged numerous water polo players and swimmers throughout his career.
Jim Brumm – third coach at Foothill Water Polo. Jim was passed the baton from Simcox & Delong. In October 2015 Coach Brumm coached his 500th victory as Knights Boys Head Coach! Foothill beat Coronado in semis of S&R Tournament and played for the championship game vs. Harvard Westlake.
All of these men have dedicated countless hours to the programs and help establish Foothill Water Polo to be the program it is today.
